Nursery
This week Nursery has been filled with Christmas spirit! We decorated paper trees with sparkly tinsel, exploring the crinkly texture as we glued it down.
We also used our paint dabbers to create chains of Christmas lights! The dabbers are the perfect shape to fit in our hands and we explored repeated the up and down motion, following the lines drawn onto the paper!
Kindergarten
This week in Kindergarten we explored a Winter tuff tray! We used our hands and other tools to move through the sugary 'snow', this helps develop our fine motor skills and later our handwriting development!
We've also been creative with stencils! We used sponges, dabbing them into paint and then pressing them across the paper. We then delicately lifted up the stencil to reveal the final picture!
Down in the dining room we have been decorating biscuits! We carefully spooned over the icing and then added colourful sprinkles.
Pre-School
This week Pre-School we are getting ready for Santa! We made Christmas stockings today. Leona showed us the picture of Christmas stockings and we also talked about what
would happen if we hang them up before Christmas. We painted
patterns on our stockings by using stencils. We chose a stencil each and stamped the sponge all over it to make a pattern!
We also had lots of fun making winter pictures! We used silver and white paint, pompoms and snowflake sequins to create a beautiful sparking wonderland.
We also created some festive hair clips! We used pompoms, ribbon, Christmas confetti and pipe cleaners to create them!
