Nursery
This week in Nursery we explored a mark making activity where we could run the cars and rollers through the paint to see the tracks left behind! We really enjoyed pushing the cars though the paint and feeling the textures of the rollers with paint on them.
We had another fun mark making activity, but this time we used our tuff tray mirror. We loved looking at our reflections as we drew with the big chalk pens! We were very proud of the marks we made and concentrated so well on attempting to get the lids back on.
We’ve also had great fun out in the garden this week, with lots of activities and toys to explore! When the weather has been hot, we had lots of water play to keep us cool and some texture activities set up with coloured pasta.
Kindergarten
This week in Kindergarten we have been looking at number recognition. We had number cards with animals on it, we had to count how many animals we saw and we all had fun counting together!
Down in the dining room, we had some fruit tasting to do! We peeled and chopped up the fruit, with some help from our adults to share with each other. We had a lime to taste, which was so sour and it made us pull funny faces!
Out in the garden, we had the snake sprinkler out and lots of water play to help us keep cool! We had fun jumping over the snake :)
Pre-School
This week Pre-School we made our own shop and went shopping! The children were very excited to carry shopping bags and explore the items laid out. They had a purse with real coins in it The children walked around the shop and put their shopping in their bags and then took it to the till to be scanned. They took it in turns to be the shop keeper.
This week we made pitta pizzas! We started off by talking about the importance of hygiene before we started prepping, we put hair nets on and washed out hands. We then spread our tomato puree on and added cheese and our choice of toppings. We also talked about oven safety and how our food changes whilst in the hot oven!
We learned how to make slime, it was great fun! We measured the ingredients out and mixed them in a bowl, we then choose our favourite colour and a scent to put in the slime too.
