Nursery
This week in Nursery we had lots of fun in a dinosaur swamp tuff tray! We enjoyed pretending to feed the dinosaurs, and making lots of footprints in the 'mud'. We got very messy mixing together all the different materials!
We wrapped up warm for some outdoor adventures this week. We tried using water to 'paint' with, using the bulb shaped brushes that are perfect for our little hands to grab! We moved the brushes over the paper, noticing the water left a mark.
We also got stuck into a maths tray activity! We looked closely at each resource, stacking the rainbow cubes and moving the pom-poms to and from egg cups!
Kindergarten
This week in Kindergarten we have explored a colourful tuff tray! We enjoyed watching the coloured ice melt into the gloop and move around the tray to create colourful patterns.
We’ve been at our cooking station in the dining room and having a go at cutting up our own snack. An adult supervised us whilst we used our dog knives to slice and chop the fruit, then afterwards we got to enjoy eating it all up!
Out in the garden, we’ve been working together to make ‘cars’ out of crates and tyres. We had fun working together and then getting into our cars to travel around in!
Pre-School
In Pre-School this week we made butterflies to help us learn about symmetry. We painted one side of the butterfly, then folded it in half. When we opened the butterfly up again, we could see that the same patterns had printed onto the other side, making the butterfly symmetrical!
We discovered that our cress seeds that we planted last week had grown! We were able to pick the cress and try it for ourselves. We then talked about foods that were good for us.
Inspired by the poem 'Chop Chop' we had a go at chopping our own vegetables! We discussed first chopping the bottom and then the top of the vegetable. We then put everything we had chopped into a bowl in the middle - yummy!
