Nursery
This week in Nursery we enjoyed a 'Let’s Bake' flour activity! We liked using the spoons to scoop up the flour and pour it back into the bowls. We picked out all of the “sprinkles” and put them into a sieve to separate them from the flour.
We’ve had fun in the garden exploring in some our favourite areas such as the sandpit! We love spending time outside with our friends and adults.
Kindergarten
In Kindergarten this week, we had a fun firefighting activity set up, where we had to put out fires with our water pistols! We learnt that firefighters use big powerful water hoses to put out fires to keep our community safe.
We used lots of different objects to paint with and we enjoyed seeing the different patterns the objects made on our paper!
To help our fine motor skills we used cheerios to thread onto pieces of string, it took some concentration but it was great fun!
Pre-School
In Pre-School this week Anouska showed us some magic pictures! She showed us a picture that looked like scribbles but gave us a de-coder to use, when we put it over the picture, it showed us our names! We then went onto make our own magical pictures.
We made some biscuits at the cooking station, an adult found a recipe and we followed along with the instructions. We mixed the ingredients together, then rolled it out flat to cut out some shapes. Bridie and Fiona then cooked them for us in the kitchen.
We had a fun activity set up by Kelly in our tuff tray, she used cornflour, water and paint ice cube trays. Once the ice had melted, we talked about how the paint had spread across the cornflour. We used some straws to blow through to make the water move and it made cool patterns!
