Nursery
This week in Nursery we have spent lots of time in the garden, watering our plants and playing with the water balloons with our friends – it was a great way to cool off in the heat!
We also had a lily pond tuff tray with our new water fountain and some mini beasts in the tray to explore.
As Glastonbury festival is on this week, we decided to have a mini festival of our own! We had our ‘The Nursery Times – Glastonbury edition’ to read through and array of activities to explore all the different senses! We had a galaxy light, lots of musical instruments, neon coloured rice and colourful cups to scoop it all up and pour out again!
Kindergarten
This week in Kindergarten we have been down in the dining room using fruit as printing tools! We enjoyed pressing the fruit into the paint and then onto our paper.
For time together we enjoyed a tuff tray activity. We added flour, pasta, rice and sand into the tuff tray and had fun mixing it all together and scooping it up into the saucepans and exploring the different textures.
We have been trying to stay cool in the sunshine by getting the water snake out in the garden. We had fun running and jumping over the snake and we got very wet in the process!
Pre-School
This week in Pre-School, we’ve been practicing our ball control skills. We dribbled the ball around the cones and then practiced stopping the ball with our foot and then practiced scoring a goal against our friend!
We played toy shops and looked at the value of different coins. We talked about where we keep our money safe and what people carry money in. We matched up the prices of the toy selected with the numerals on the coin then had a turn being the shop assistant typing the number into the card reader.
Some of us have been talking about the Euros this week and all the different countries that are playing in it, we then went on to talk about the different flags for each country and decided to make the flags out of different objects we had in Pre-School. We made the French flag with blue and red objects and we also made the England flag!
