Nursery
This week in Nursery we have been making cards ready for Mother's Day! We have been using lots of different techniques to create flowers. Some of us used forks to create a tulip pattern, whilst others did some flower printing!
We have also been exploring our rainbow blocks! We saw how they can also be used as sun catchers, reflecting the colour onto the floor. And let's not forget they are also great for stacking and building!
We have also been working on our climbing skills! We have been using the pikler triangle to climb up the steps, navigate our way over and then go down the slide!
Kindergarten
This week in Kindergarten we have been learning about the weather! We searched for clouds with our cloud finders, and talked about how plants need water from rainclouds to help them grow. It was a sunny day, so we enjoyed giving the plants an extra water!
We've also been making some tasty dishes in the mud kitchen. We enjoyed stirring and mixing in the pots and pans, we then offered the meals to our adults and peers!
We've also been visiting the library to read stories, we also enjoyed using the puppets and toys to act out our stories too!
Pre-School
This week Pre-School we made some bird feeders with Cher! She had brought in lots of different seeds, as well as some honey and bread. We spoke about how different birds prefer different seeds, as we added them all to our feeder and tied it up with string!
It's been a lovely sunny week so in the top garden we've been working on our physical develop! We have been doing circuits, finding various cards around the garden with a prompt for a different exercise. We jumped up high, stretched into yoga poses, hopped and crawled. We noticed how some exercises were easy but some were a bit more tricky!
We've also been practising our football skills! There were some cones set up in the garden for us to dribble the ball around, weaving in and out. It took a lot of focus and coordination to control the ball, we then split into two groups and went head to head to find out who could go super fast!
