Nursery
This week Nursery really enjoyed getting involved in a water activity! We liked taking the packing peanuts from one tray and then placing them into the other tray that had water in it and we watched them dissolve. We liked having a go at using the spoons to scoop them up and put them in the trays!
We explored a snow dome inspired tuff tray filled with fake snow, rice, little people and animals that love the snow! We enjoyed feeling the interesting texture of the fake snow as we crumbled it in our hands and used the spoons and bowls to move it around.
In our tuff tray, we had some apple scented cloud dough. We used our new dough spheres and pressed them into the dough to make marks! We also love the new addition to the room – the Christmas tree!
Kindergarten
This week in Kindergarten we’ve been hard at work in the garden! We noticed there were some leaves falling into the garden so we talked about the changes of the season with our adults – we then used our outdoor sweeping brushes to move some of the leaves away so we could use the garden to play in.
Some of us have been helping our adults decorate the Christmas tree this week, which is very fitting seeming as we’ve started making some of our Christmas crafts so we’re really getting into the spirit in Kindergarten!
Next week is our Christmas lunch so we’ve been decorating our Christmas hats ready for the festivities and we can’t wait to wear them on Wednesday!
Pre-School
In Pre-School this week we have been getting in the Christmas spirit! We’ve been making baubles with glitter paint, tissue paper and sparkly sequins. Some of us talked about decorating our Christmas trees at home.
We’ve been practising our yoga skills this week, we did a variety of different poses and movements and talked about the importance of staying active. Yoga is a great way to stay active!
We made some playdough in the art studio, we helped scoop the flour into the bowl, then added water to then knead the ingredients together. We then used some of our Christmas mats to make different Christmassy shapes.
