Nursery
This week in Nursery we explored the kinetic sand and enjoyed doing lots of building! We explored the feeling of sand in our hands, and used it between bricks like cement. We also explored it with scoops and spoons!
We have been getting into the Easter spirit with some artwork! We used our bunny shaped stampers to make marks, repeating the up and down motion. We decided to mix the colours together too!
We also explored an Easter themed tuff tray! We enjoyed scooping rice into bowls, using spoons to fill out basket with eggs too.
Kindergarten
This week in Kindergarten the children have been cooking up a storm in the mud kitchen! They enjoyed mixing and finding 'food' to put in the pots and pans.
The children also explored the new keyboard! They showed off their musical skills and practiced great turn taking.
They have also started exploring Easter Crafts! They had lots of fun painting and getting their hands stuck in too.
Pre-School
This week in Pre-School we explored clay! We had fun squishing and squeezing and then trying to make a model. We started with some animals and then tried food and other items.
We also made our own Easter nests! We added shredded wheat to chocolate and gave it a big big mix. We then added the mixture to cup cases. Our little chocolate mixes look just like little Easter nests!
We have been learning about planets! We took a look at our solar system and talked about what space was. We looked closely at planet Earth, we talked about how it looks from space and what the colours may represent - the green is for the land the blue is for the sea and the white represents clouds. We also talked about the sun, learning about what the sun is made out of and how the planets revolve around it.
