Nursery
This week Nursery we wrote a letter to Santa using paint markers! We made marks on the paper and once we were finished, we folded them up and posted them into our ‘Letters for Santa’ post box!
Santa was also in our tuff tray this week! We really enjoyed the different textures and moving the foam around the tray, making lots of mess!
We had peppermint scented playdough to explore, we had a go at rolling out the dough with the rolling pins and then used our gingerbread cutters to press down into the dough.
Kindergarten
This week in Kindergarten we've been ever so helpful, as Father Christmas needed help cleaning his beard! We enjoyed ‘washing’ his beard with cloths and using our hands to scoop up the foam!
Outside in the front garden, we have really been enjoying riding the bikes around the track and giving each other lifts on them.
We’ve used empty kitchen rolls and cut the ends to make them look like snowflakes, we dipped them into the paint and then printed onto our paper to make a snowy picture!
Pre-School
This week Pre-School we went down to the dining room to make peppermint creams! First we added condensed milk to icing sugar and gave it a good mix. We then added peppermint flavouring and red food colouring because its Christmas! Once the dough had formed, we rolled the creams into little pebble shapes ready to put in the fridge.
We also made mini Christmas wreaths! We picked from red, white and green pipe cleaners and twisted them together and then joined the two ends. We had some help from Leona to add a bow on. We also learnt from Kelly that the reason we hang wreaths up for Christmas is to invite the spirit of Christ into our homes and to bring us luck!
Some of made bauble pictures using empty toilet rolls, glitter and glue! We dipped the roll into the glue first then printed the circular shapes onto the paper. Afterwards we sprinkled the glitter over the paper and tapped off the excess to reveal our colourful glittery baubles!
