Nursery
This week in Nursery, we have been making potions with some dried flower petals, using different pots, we filled and emptied containers as they poured into a jug.
Back inside we have been exploring bubble foam, where we mixed water, bubble bath, and different food colouring. We covered our hands in the foam and did big clapping motions to see the foam splat.
Outside we love to spend time in the garden, enjoying the fresh air and sunshine. We had clean soapy water and cloths to clean our safari animals. We also had bath time for our babies, making sure they were clean.
Kindergarten
In kindergarten this week, we have enjoyed taking part in different activities. Some of us enjoyed playing out in the garden where we ensured the dinosaurs were squeaky clean after frolicking in the sand and the mud, they made sure they had lots to drink to stay hydrated.
We have also enjoyed playing with the monster play dough, rolling out the play dough using cookie cutters to cut it into monster shapes, and adding googly eyes.
A group of us enjoyed reading stories with our friends, pointing out the different animals, and laughing at the pictures together. We created a sensory activity where we filled up bags with different materials and squished the bags to see how the different materials felt.
We wanted to create a science experiment, we used powder paints mixed with water to create different colour ponds, using jugs, scoops, and bottles to transfer the colours to around the tuff tray and put in different objects to see if they would float.
Pre-School
This week in Pre-School, we wanted to get creative and experiment with different colours, we used yellow and red paint to make orange and then used these to create our art pieces.
We then wanted to practice our addition using our counting cubes, we were able to recognise that there were 8 elephants altogether.
It was a warm one this week and we needed to cool off, we used the water wall to transfer the water down the pipes and into buckets.
