Nursery
This week in Nursery we have been very busy getting stuck into lots of Christmassy crafts! We used glittery paint to decorate our paper, expressing ourselves with different marks and patterns.
We've also spent some quiet time exploring books, both independently and with our adults. We sat and turned the pages, pointing at the different objects we could see!
We also wrapped up warm to explore the rooftop garden. We were invited to explore the chalk markers, holding them confidently in our hands and moving our arms in big sweeping movements to make different marks!
Kindergarten
This week in Kindergarten we have had lots of fun with some new resources! In the yurt we have enjoyed a new cleaning role play set! This includes a room, dusting brush and more! We have been using these to tidy and sweep up the yurt.
We also have new big cars for the garden, we have been using these to make tracks in our outdoor sand tray!
We have also enjoyed going to the Pre-School garden for free flow, being pulled along in the wheelbarrow by the adults. We went to the sensory room and experimented with the sensory toys in there such as the colourful squares on the floor and rocking boards!
We are getting more and more excited as we approach Christmas!
Pre-School
This week in Pre-School we got stuck into lots of Christmas activities! We created beautiful glittery artwork and tree decorations, carefully dabbing on the sparkly glitter so that it was all covered!
We also explored the celebration of Hanukkah! We spoke about how people celebrate Hanukkah, read some stories, and even created our own pictures!
We also tried decorating our own pasta tree! We were encouraged to use lots of different resources, from ribbons to pom-poms, all over the top of the tree. As we did this we shared conversation about what our trees at home look like, and what we decorated them with!
