Nursery

This week in Nursery we have been exploring gloop! We used our hands to feel the texture - it was so slimey and sticky, but we loved getting stuck in and getting messy!

In the art room we developed our understanding of the world, with a tuff tray filled with different animals and sea creatures. We also painted our own version of Earth using paper plates and shaving foam!

We explored mark making in a new and exciting way this week, using spray bottles, water, and food colouring! We sprayed the mixture onto cotton wool, noticing how it would change the colour.

We have also been splashing about in the bubbly water this week, filling and emptying containers! We even attempted to blow bubbles with our hands alongside Chelsea - so much fun!

To end our busy week we explored emotions using the mirrors, peeking at our reflections and exploring what different facial expressions we could make!

Kindergarten

This week in Kindergarten we welcomed more children to our room, as they start their transition from Nursery! For some of us this means seeing our older siblings a lot more, as we spotted them in the garden. They showed us around all our new toys and resources and helped us settle in!

We've also been exploring our new brightly coloured sand! The adults showed us how we can make sandcastles, we listened really carefully and followed their instructions well. Elsewhere in the garden we explored a number themed tuff tray, where we were invited to use paint to trace over the numbers. We've also been racing around the garden on our trikes and scooters - whee!

Back inside we have shown an interest in our potty training books, so our adults sat with us as we turned the pages. We discussed what we could see on each page! We've also explored our matching maths puzzle, practicing our counting skills to see if we could spot the correct number of objects for each number. We did a really good job with this!

Pre-School

This week in Pre-School we have really enjoyed our updated Book Nook! We spotted the different characters that were hidden amongst the leaves - we called these out to our adults, even remembering parts from the story to share. We then drew our favourite characters, like the Gruffalo and the Very Hungry Caterpillar!

Outside we have been exploring our new water station, which is decked out with different coloured buckets, tubes and funnels. We really enjoyed matching up all the different colours, setting up the buckets underneath and pouring water into the funnels at the top to watch it splash down!

We also had lots of fun learning about planets with a themed tuff tray! We explored each of the planets, as the adults showed us the different names for them. We noticed they were all different - some were large, some where small, they were different colours and one even had rings going around it - wow!
