Nursery
This week in Nursery, it looks as though Father Christmas sent us some elves to help put up our Christmas decorations. We talked about the different coloured lights. We noticed that some baubles were shiny, others had glitter on and we even had one that looked like an Elsa bauble!
Back in the room our friends were discovering the Christmas books, we read about Peppa and her brother George. We felt the different textures of the "That's Not My Christmas Tree" book.
A group of us wrapped up in all our layers and headed out to the garden, we had cars and cement trucks whizzing around the car park!
Kindergarten
This week in Kindergarten the children got up to so much fun! It was lovely seeing the children decorate the tree and some of them drawing big snowmen.
Outdoors the children were intrigued seeing how the water froze and turned icy! A few of them also had a great time making pretend fruit kebabs and telling us what their favourite
fruits were.
And it's not a week in Kindergarten without building with magnets, blocks and completing puzzles - see you all next week!
Pre-School
This week in Pre-School Christmas has arrived! The workshop is open and we've been busy exploring how to wrap presents. This is a great physical challenge for our fine and gross motor skills, as we navigate holding and folding the paper around a shape and using the sticky tape to hold it all down! But we were so proud of ourselves when we managed it, and put some of our 'presents' under the tree for decoration.
We've also been busy making beautiful Christmas Cards! We talked about why we might make and send cards to people at this time of year - we realised it is a great way to show your loved ones how much you care. We used glittery paint and brushes to decorate our cards, as well as some festive cutters!
