Nursery
This week in Nursery we went on a trip to the park! We wrapped up warm and couldn't wait to explore the different apparatus. We climbed up the steps to the slide confidently, whizzing down afterwards - wee! We also spent a lot of time in the sandpit, doing lots of digging and sandcastles!
Kindergarten
Kindergarten started the week with a really fun filling activity. We used coloured pasta and poured it into all the funny faces in the tuff tray!
We've been continuing to focus on activities around our core book - Healthy Bodies - and have had lots of discussions about different parts of our bodies. To help us learn we've been using Mr Potato Head and singing "Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" - super fast and super slowwww!
We've also been celebrating Lunar New Year with an exciting range of colourful tuff trays. We learned about different letters, money and the animals of the Zodiac. We really loved learning about different foods and how to use chopsticks to eat!
Throughout our week we've also been focusing on using technology and talking about how electricity can power lots of our fun resources at Red Bus, such as our light boxes and bubble lamps. We've been using technology ourselves on our interactive board where we played a really fun animal matching game and role playing with keyboards and phones!
Pre-School
This week in Pre-School we have focused lots on emotions! We've drawn faces on paper plates that show different feelings, we were able to communicate these different emotions to the adults so well. We also looked at photographs of children showing different emotions and were able to recognise and name them!
We've also been exploring technology with the interactive whiteboard and Yoto playrt, which has inspired lots of conversations about staying safe online. We talked about our favourite things to do online and what we can do to stay safe.
We have also been celebrating Lunar New Year with lots of different invitations to play!
