Nursery
This week in Nursery has been filled with Halloween themed crafts and activities! First we made a beautiful pumpkin collage, carefully sticking down lots of brightly coloured orange tissue paper. We thought carefully about where each piece would go, filling up our paper plates! We also did some spooky stencilling, dabbing the paint over the stencils and lifting them up to reveal shapes.
We've also been exploring real life pumpkins! We were very bold and got stuck in with our hands, lifting out the seeds and pumpkin pulp - what interesting textures!
We also got stuck into a tuff tray filled with spooky spaghetti monsters! We picked up the googly eyes and the slippery strands of pasta, mixing all the colours together!
Pre-School
This week in Pre-School we went to the dining room to make some spooky shortbread! We added green and red dye to the dough, working it in with our hands and watching the colours blend. We then chose what shape we wanted our shortbread in before it was baked - yummy!
We also explored a cotton wool cobweb! We were encouraged to use pipettes to place coloured water on the cotton - we were fascinated watching the colours drift and blend!
There were also lots and lots of invitations to play! We got stuck into sticky spaghetti, soft soil, wriggly string and more!
