Nursery
On Tuesday Nursery celebrated Bonfire Night! We made our very own fireworks using toilet rolls, placing them into the paint colour of our choice. We then placed this onto the paper, noticing the marks we made! We all talked about what sounds the fireworks make ....older children said "bang!" whilst clapping their hands. When it got dark outside, we looked out the window to see if we could see any going off!
We have also been celebrating Remembrance Day which is approaching very soon. We have been making our own pictures by using halved apples and placing them into red paint - using the paint brush carefully, we used our fine motor skills to create a centrepiece in the middle.
Lastly, we explored the sensory rice play, which was turned into a poppy! We love getting involved, scooping up the rice, and mixing it together with our hands.
Kindergarten
This week in Kindergarten the children got up to lots of fun activities and adventures!
A few children went on a trip to Lincombe Barn where they were very active, playing on the swings, slide and see-saw! It was lovely seeing them share lots of smiles and laughter.
We have welcomed few new starters into Kindergarten and we are very excited to be part of their new journey. On the other hand, we've said goodbye to some of the children moving up to Pre-School but we will still see them playing in the gardens!
Lots of the children enjoyed playing with bath bubbles in the garden, going through emotion stones, doing lots of gluing and sticking and lots more!
Pre-School
This week in Pre-School we have been diving further into Helicopter Stories! We have been reading example stories that other children have written to give us inspiration, then taking turns to act them out. This has given us a real boost of confidence and is getting us ready to create our very own stories!
We have also been celebrating Bonfire Night, making sparkly artworks and pictures of rockets! We also explored a small world tray, one of us wanted to create a bonfire so the adults helped us - adding brightly coloured tissue paper for the fire and small world people!
Finally we had a very exciting visit from Evie, Alaska's dog! We showed great patience and gentle hands, taking turns to pet her softly.
