Nursery
This week in Nursery we have loved using the bubble machine! We were very excited when Chelsea counted down to 5, and we watched as she turned on the machine and bubbles flew out! We ran around the room, reaching out to try and POP them!
Our Core Book for this term is 'Dear Zoo', the children enjoyed looking at the story and listening to it being read to them. The adults used different props such as story spoons with the characters on, and animal soft toys! The children were able to tell us which animal was behind each door, great knowledge!
The children also got stuck into dry rice and pasta play! They enjoyed repeating the process of filling and emptying containers and exploring with friends.
Kindergarten
This week in Kindergarten the children enjoyed lots of outdoor play especially after introducing the new obstacle course and jumping steps area where they did great balancing. It has been lovely seeing the children get so creative, whether it was making your own birds by sticking colourful feathers or playing in our new art area outdoors where they used paint dabbers, chalks and crayons to make their very own butterfly and shopping list!
We had a mixed seasonal tuff tray on display to introduce
the children to the four different types of seasons and explaining how we're saying bye to Summer and welcoming Autumn!
Last but not least, we've had the pleasure to have new friends join our Kindergarten room and it's been lovely to meet them.
Pre-School
This week in Pre-School we learned about Ganesh Chaturthi, a Hindu festival celebrating the deity Ganehsha! We read the story and explored the themed tray, painting red and yellow flowers.
This week was also World Literary Day, so we read our favourite stories together! We also had the chance to make our own stories up, and create pictures too. We also explored early handwriting by tracing letters in our name in the sand tray!
Autumn is on the way and we have been noticing all the seasonal changes that happen in nature! Out in the front garden we noticed the conkers are starting to fall from the trees, so went to collect lots of natural resources. We filled our container with conkers, leaves and twigs of all shapes, sizes and colours!
