This week in Nursery, it has been a beautiful week in the sun, we have been spending lots of time in both gardens. Some of us have learned how to go on the tightrope for the first time holding on tightly and slowing moving along to the end. We have also been riding around on the scuttle bugs. On the rooftop garden, we have been doing some mark-making with chalk on the board and playing peek-a-boo with our friends.
We celebrated World Kindness Day by making cards for a friend, we spread glue across some paper and then slowly stuck on beautiful shiny sequins and foam shapes, once they were dry, we took them home to show our families.
To finish the week we took a trip to the sandpit where we sat down and used the big spades to fill the buckets to make sandcastles and different shapes from boats, cows, and seahorses.
This week in Kindergarten, we have been exploring our Remembrance Day poppy tuff tray. In the tray, there was red rice and colourful bowls. We began filling the bowls with rice, pouring it onto the tray, and then transferring it back into the bowls.
We all worked together to make some playdough. We started by choosing what colour we wanted to make it, and we decided on red. Then we added a big scoop of flour, as it's the main ingredient of our special playdough. We took turns to mix it up and see the playdough start to form together!
To celebrate odd sock day in Kindergarten, we made our very own sock squishy! Starting first with filling our very special, chosen socks with rice. We then very carefully tied the top to create a hat so our squishy wouldn't get cold. To finish, we drew a happy face and added some sticky eyes to create the cutest teddy ever!
This week in Pre-School has been full of fun!
Inside, it has been Math's week. We have done so many super cool activities to help us be more aware of our numbers and shapes by drawing them, counting together, and much more.
It was World Kindness Day on Wednesday, so all of our friends did something that was kind, such as sharing a toy, helping each other tidy, and of course, sharing hugs!
It's also been Type Onsie Day this week to spread awareness and support those who have Type 1 Diabetes. In aid of this say, we wore out pyjamas and onesies!
On Monday we had our minute silence, watched a video about the soldiers in the war, and painted some poppies for Remembrance Day.
Outside, we have been of course bug hunting, using the famous balance bikes, and been on all of the obstacles! We discovered a water butt this week and decided to water our plants with the rainwater it has caught.
Writing letters has been a favourite this week and we have been practising outside on the big chalkboard!
Finally, we have been playing with the other equipment such as stilts, and basketball.
Well done pre-school, for another amazing fun-filled week, we hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
