This week in Flax Bourton, we had a very exciting visitor arrive to say 'hello'! We sat down in a circle and sang some Christmas songs together when the doorbell rang - Jenny opened the door to welcome in Father Christmas! We looked on in excitement, some of us even waved hello. Santa then handed each of us a present which was very exciting.
We have also spent some time outside in the garden! We have been playing in the mud kitchen, making yummy recipes. We used the tools and resources to scoop and mix the mud together, pouring it from bowls into jugs and back again!
To start the week in Kindergarten, we took a special trip to the Candy Cane factory! We used the magical floury snow to create the white part of the candy canes, then carefully used red rice to create the red part. We found it a bit tricky to create the pattern, so we gave it a big mix with our hands and created a candy cane mixture instead!
Some of us have also been learning how to use scissors. We very carefully put our fingers in the grips, and tried carefully opening and closing them to snip the paper - it was a bit tricky but practice makes perfect!
We also had a special visitor…SANTA! He came with his elf to visit us in Kindergarten and gave us a special present. How exciting and special. Enjoy your presents at home :) Merry Christmas From Everyone at Red Bus!
This week in Pre-School has been chock full of festive fun. We had a very special visit from Father Christmas and his Elf, we ran over to say hello - he had presents for all of us, wow! We were all very patient and took turns to go up and get our gifts to take home.
Elsewhere in Pre-School we've been busy building towers from blocks, making yummy imaginary meals in the home kitchen, shooting hoops in the garden and exploring the mud kitchen! What a busy week Pre-School, we hope you all have a lovely festive break!
