This week in Nursery we have been taking part in some sticking! We used glue to deocrate our bears, adding eyes and a nose. We were able to do this independently, recognising and saying words like 'nose' and 'eyes'!
Some of the youngest among us have been exploring water and bubbles for the first time! With some support from the adults holding us we were able to reach in to collect handfuls of bubbles, enjoying the feel of it on our hands!
Out in the rooftop garden we found some minibeasts! We spotted a spider and ladybird crawling on the table, we found this fascinating and watched them for a long time - inviting our friends to take a look too!
Down in the big garden we have spent time whizzing around the bike track on trikes and scooters! We've also been exploring mark making with paint and toy animals in the tuff tray, moving each one around to see what marks we could make.
To start a fantastic week in Kindergarten, we explored a Tea Party themed tuff tay! We chose from a variety of colours to decorate a gigantic tea cup using paint. We then dipped teabags into water to create tea spots all over the cup! We were encouraged to smell the teabags so we could see what real tea smells like!
We also popped on all our waterproofs to visit the garden, where we splashed in puddles and went on a worm-spotting mission to see how many we could find in the soil!
We then made some of the silliest soup in the world; we had a variety of different wiggly worms and magical water to create our soup. We gave it a big stir and a sprinkle of glitter on top!
We continued to enjoy the autumn season, we spent time at the park and outside in the garden where we splashed in puddles! We found lots of leaves at the park, which we brought back to the nursery for our friends to explore and create our own swamp potions!
We then spent lots of time exploring the home corner and playing with our new toys! We used the clothes to get the babies dressed, nice and warm for the cold weather - we even opened our own Kindergarten Coffee Shop!
This week in Pre-School has been super fun! One of our staff has just come back from a holiday in Africa, and brought in pictures of safari for us to look through on the interactive whiteboard. We saw elephants, lions, hippos and a crocodile!
Back in the room we have been measuring with tape measures, building tracks for our race cars and building a 'safe zone' for us to go to when the floor is lava!
We have also been doing lots of mark making by using our stencils and lots of painting! We have been sat out on the decking going through our old dairies, planning the days we are going to celebrate! We also made a dino land out on the decking, where all the giant dinosaurs came out to play!
Bug hunting is still a big interested as more of these strange, green creatures have been appearing in the garden! Even more ladybirds have been arriving in the Red Bus garden and they are so many different colours!
