This week in Flax Bourton we were so excited to explore the water play in the garden! The adult pushed on the tap for us as it's a bit tricky to do. We took it in turns to hold our containers under the running water until it was full. We used the water to fill up other sized containers and water the growing flowers!
Some of us got creative at the painting easel. We choose what colours we wanted and moved the brush across the paper, making patterns. We were able to tell the adults what colours we had used. Mark making carried on in the cabin with big card and coloured pencils! The adults showed us how to draw circles and lines whilst some of us sat reading books to ourselves.
In the art room we explored a tuff tray with gloop and glue! We held lollipop sticks and mixed, watching as the different colours blended together. It was very sticky!
To finish the week was a sensory tray. We held and moved the animals and insects covering them in mud and straw. We were able to say words like "pig" "sheep" and "bee".
This week in Kindergarten we have been exploring colours on the decking! We used the pipettes to squeeze the colours onto the shaving foam and into the water. We watched and noticed the colours swirling and change, what fun!
We have been dancing to music and using pom poms to dance and make sounds with. We explored a crunchy cereal tray too, using scissors to cut them up and hammers to squish them. We then felt the textures of the cereals with our hands!
Outside we have been doing some mark making using paints and chalks to draw some lovely pictures. We then went outside using our physical strength to balance across the beams!
This week in Pre-School has been brilliant! We have spent some time inside decorating biscuits, woodwork creations and completing lots of puzzles. We have also enjoyed doing helicopter stories this week and everyone's imaginations have been going wild.
Out on the decking we have done lots of water play, mark making and of course the sandpit has been a favourite! Most of our time this week was again out in the big garden. We have decorated the floors with chalk, raced with our fiends and even opened up our own ice cream shop.
The balance bikes have of course been popular this week and we have even been building dens and hideaways in the corners of the garden! To top the week off, we did a mini Easter egg hunt in the garden! Well done Pre-School for another wonderful week!
